HomeOur Story
When I was a child I grew up in a small village in the countryside. I still remember the day my teacher taught me about the places I never knew existed outside of my village. She told us about the neighbouring cities surrounding my village and about all the areas that make up my beautiful country.
My home was at the foot of a mountain. I always wanted to climb to the top of the mountain and see what was behind it. One day I made it to the top, and looked out to see another range of mountains. When I came home I asked my mom, “Mom if I climb that range of mountains what will I see?" My mom told me that our country is an island, and so if you climb to the top of that range of mountains probably you will see the ocean. I asked her again, “What can I see beyond the ocean?" She told me, “Life is like a book. If you do not cross the ocean, you have read only one page."
After graduating from the University of Peradeniya (regarded as one of the most beautiful universities in the world) I took my very first flight. I travelled to China to get my master's degree. Later, I traveled to several countries to read more pages from life book as my mom said, and realised that me seeing the world is more educational than high school or college. I realised that each and every country is beautiful its own way; and that among all countries, my island nation is so special to me because it has so much in so little.
One day I invited my university friends from other countries to visit me in Sri Lanka so that I could show them around my beloved island. They were very happy during the tour. Everyone loved Sri Lanka, telling me how lucky I am to have been born on such a beautiful island. At that time I was just about to start my own business in finance, but I wanted to do something that would not just earn me some money, but would also bring happiness to me and to others. I knew at that time that I wanted to work in tourism.
Thankfully, I already spoke the world's two most used languages - English and Chinese - as well as my native Sinhala. So, I started to build my knowledge even more, learning and exploring the history of the country in great depth and detail. During this time I also worked as a travel guide for a local tour company. I really enjoyed that job, and as I learned more about the island, I became more and more inspired. After studying further in the Sri Lanka tourism development authority, I started my own travel agency. Through this agency, my specialised team and I now help people from all over the world turn their dream tour into reality!
