Arrival and Transfer to Hotel

Negombo to North Central Region
Wake up to a warm morning and enjoy a great breakfast. Once done, set off to Anuradhapura, early kingdom in north central region in Sri Lanka (UNESCO World Heritage Site) where often known as the sacred city. You will be heading north on a four-hour journey. Once you’ve arrived at the hotel, leave your baggage, freshen up and take off once again to explore Mihintale Mountain Peak where the birthplace of Buddhism in Sri Lanka, First scared Buddhist place with monastic education centre, Ambasthala terrace with Invitation rock, most ancient stupaa, Kantaka Chetiya, Refectory hall and ancient hospital.

After breakfast you will visit Archaeological Museum of Anuradhapura and It is a rich source of information on the heritage and culture of the ancient city of Anuradhapura. Afternoon you visit the ruins of Mahavihara Monastery complex, Visits the Sacred Sri Maha Bo tree in Anuradhapura which is over 2200 years old and the oldest living tree of the whole world with a written history, Maha Stupa and Brazen palace.

Heading to The Second Kingdom
After breakfast you will leave Anuradhapura and set off to the second kingdom of ancient Sri Lanka, Polonnaruwa. The journey will take roughly two hours. You will then visit the Polonnaruwa Archaeological Museum and Parakrama Lake before lunch time. Afternoon explore other monuments of Polonnaruwa area, remnants of the past since hundreds of years ago.

After breakfast you will climb 8th Wonder of the World, “The Lion Rock” (UNESCO World Heritage Site) a massive rocky plateau 370 meters above the sea level 260 meters above from the surrounding area. You will spend between 45 to 60 minuets to climb to the top of the rock and colourful frescoes, boulder gardens, terraced gardens, water gardens are the other major attractions you can see on the way. Ones you climb top of the rock you will be mesmerised by the view of surrounding area. Afternoon Jeep safari to National Park where the largest known wild Asian Elephant Gathering at one place in the World.

Going to The Last Kingdom Kandy
The journey from Sigiriya to Kandy, which will take approximately 2 hours, will begin right after your early morning breakfast. En route visit Spice Garden where you can enjoy the Sri Lanka’s world renowned spices at their source. Tropical garden full of herbs and spice plants. The magnificent city of Kandy which you will reach presently was the last capital of the ancient Sinhalese kings. During the day you will be visiting the Temple of the Tooth Relic and Kandy lake. A spectacular traditional dance performance will also add colour to your day.

Today you will be visiting Royal botanic gardens in peradeniya, the best botanical garden in the whole of Asia the garden includes more than 4000 species of plants. Sri Lanka was affectionately known as Ratna-Dweepa which means Gem Island. The name is a reflection of its natural wealth. Marco Polo wrote that the island had the best sapphires, topazes, amethysts, and other gems in the world. So today you will have a chance to visit one of oldest gem house in Kandy which has a museum and jewelry store with a collection of exclusive gem-studded jewelry as well as a jewelry workshop. You will then visit “University of Peradeniya” Regarded as one of the most beautiful universities in the world.

World's Most Scenic Train Ride to Hill Country
We will reach Nuwara Eliya by embarking on a scenic train ride which will take your every breath away! Many even say that this train ride is one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world. So, get your cameras ready before you board! The journey will take about 3.5 hours. Once you arrived little England in Sri Lanka, you can travel around the city and witness the grand aura of its colonial buildings and spend the evening at the banks of Gregory Lake.

Through Horton Plains to World’s End
UNESCO designated Sri Lanka’s central highlands a World Heritage Site for their outstanding beauty. So today you are going to experience some of their most dramatic landscapes on Horton Plains National Park and the vertiginous World’s End cliffs. Normally we start the hike in the early morning with breakfast packages. We will drive around 45 min to the park. The Horton Plains National Park is rich in biodiversity and many species found here are endemic to the region. Look out for birds, lizards, bear monkey, and sambar deer as you hike 4 kilometers (9km round trip) to World’s End. Be sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes for the journey. As the climate in the region is quite cold you will have to pack some extra layers of clothing as well. You will then return to the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure with afternoon high tea party at Grand Hotel

After having breakfast at the hotel, we will prepare to leave to the stunning coastal city of Galle. The journey will be quite long, about 5 hours approximately. On the way experience an authentic tea plucking experience with the estate workers and enjoy a guided visit to Tea Factory where the best tea in the world is produced. You may also have a chance of tasting pure cup of Ceylon Tea at the Factory.
