Arrival and Transfer to Kandy

Welcome to Sri Lanka, as you set foot on this beautiful island, you will be warmly welcomed by your tour guide. From here you will be taken to the magnificent city of Kandy which you will reach presently was the last capital of the ancient Sinhalese kings second largest city in the island. The journey will take roughly 3 hours. En route you can visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage where a nursery and captive breeding ground for wild Asian elephants. During the day you will be visiting the Temple of the Tooth Relic and Kandy lake. A spectacular traditional dance performance will also add colour to your day.

Rise up early today, have a hearty breakfast and set off further higher into the mountains towards Nuwara Eliya. Before leave Kandy we will visit the best botanical garden in the whole of Asia the garden includes more than 4000 species of plants. Once there you will be visiting a tea factory where you will learn about this reviving drink in detail. Once you arrived little England in Sri Lanka, you can travel around the city and witness the grand aura of its colonial buildings and spend the evening at the banks of Gregory Lake.

After an early breakfast proceed to Colombo view the St Clair’s and Devon falls also visit the location where the Oscar winning movie “Bridge on the River Kwai” was filmed en route. Once you reach Colombo a delightful city tour will be arranged. Places of interest such as Gangaramaya Temple, Independence Square, Galle Face Green, Fort area and Dutch Hospital will be included in this tour. Evening you can visit bustling Fort and Pettah, the elite residential Cinnamon Gardens, the Galle Face Green, Viharamahadevi Park and much more.
