After breakfast visit 8th Wonder of the World, “The Lion Rock” This majestic fortress is one of the most prominent attractions in Sri Lanka. It was built by King Kasyapa who ruled on the island between 477 and 495 CE. Climbing Sigiriya with your family will be an unforgettable experience and boulder gardens, terraced gardens, water gardens, colourful frescoes and the mirror wall are the other main highlights that you will see on the way to top of the Lion rock. Late afternoon you will experience the way of life in a village Sri Lanka. During the tour enjoy Tuk Tuk ride, traditional catamaran ride, bull cart ride and walk through the local villages, paddy felid and local community as well as last some local foods.

The journey from Sigiriya to Kandy, which will take approximately 2 hours, will begin right after your early morning breakfast. En route visit Spice Garden where you can enjoy the Sri Lanka’s world renowned spices at their source. Visiting the tropical garden full of herbs and spice plants with your kids could help them to understand more about spices using in their kitchen. The magnificent city of Kandy which you will reach presently was the last capital of the ancient Sinhalese kings. During the day you will be visiting the Temple of the Tooth Relic and Kandy lake. A spectacular traditional dance performance will also add colour to your day.

After having breakfast at the hotel, we will prepare to leave to the stunning coastal city of Mirissa. The journey will take approximately four hours. Before leave Kandy we will visit the best botanical garden in the whole of Asia the garden includes more than 4000 species of plants. On the way experience an authentic tea plucking experience with the estate workers and enjoy a guided visit to Tea Factory where the best tea in the world is produced. You may also have a chance of tasting pure cup of Ceylon Tea at the Factory.

Afternoon we will bring you to enjoy one of the most interesting traditional fishing methods of Sri Lanka called Stilt Fishing. You will then have experience of a turtle hatchery in a conservation project where near five species of sea turtles lay their eggs along the south coasts of Sri Lanka. Visit Galle Fort and spend the evening in a romantic small city and enjoy the tropical sunset in the largest remaining fortress in Asia built by European occupiers.
